Pike Fishing Rods
I'm looking to buy my husband a good, but fly fishing rod at your birthday.?

We are both avid fishermen, but really only farmiliar with spinning rods, fishing for bass and pike. We just got a little place in a trout stream and want to learn to fly fish with my man. Any suggestions for two people just starting out? I do not want to spend a fortune, because we still want a lot of fish from lakes as well.

All he did not mention was his budget. What you and I consider "a fortune" is probably not similar. But, come on. Your best bet is likely to be a beginner combined now you can have a number of places for no more than $ 200 and probably much less. Walmart has them, but I want to run away from them – I've seen a couple of Wally and simply not so good. Most sporting goods stores have them, too. Look around in stores near you and see what you can find. Probably will see prices ranging from $ 75 to $ 125. If you leave me, this is what you and your husband get: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common / Catalog / item-link.jsp_A and MainCatcat20431-cat604907_TGP _David = & id = 0075491321246a and navCount = 1 & podId = 0075491 and parentID = cat604907 and masterpathid = & navAction = thrust and catalogCode = 9IS and parentType rid = & index = & index = cat601233 and hasJS = true A couple of scouts have come to Cabela's my son combos like this in the $ 120 – prices range from $ 175 in recent years (I'm not sure if this is the right combination – I've done several). They are very good for price. The problem with really cheap combos, it's not good to learn, they get discouraged then quit. These bars Cabela's are very sensitive line and reels are halfway decent, and I've seen some guys really get the hang of casting them. For a small trout stream trout (fish 4 lbs and down), I would go for a 4 or 5 weight. For a larger river and maybe some fishing lake, weighing six is enough. I can say this, however. Although the above combo will be fine to get into fly fishing, I'll bet that once you start you almost immediately into a team want more seriously. In fact, it enters the bloodstream.

Regardless of if it will be for a occupation, or for leisure activities, angling has long been a prevailing activity of mankind's survival for thousands of years. The best variety of sportfishing which also developed for exercise is fly fishing. Fly fishing necessitates a particular reel and also a casting motion so as to pose as bugs skipping on the surface of the stream to lure fish. saltwater fly fishing rods & reels make all these motions easier.

Before you get underway, it is invaluable to make clear just how & why freshwater fly fishing reels contrast from customary types. A freshwater fly fishing reel doesn't make the line tight unless the bass is hooked on the line. These reels allow a ton of slackness in the line so that it would make the freshwater fly fishing action viable. Traditional fishing reels are cast into the stream and remain seated while Fly fishing calls for technical skill and repetitive motion.
