What is the "clicker" for Avet JX reel on my classic?
I just bought my first reel Avet JX a classic and I was wondering what the clicker is used to. I'm a newb with this type of coils since I spin casting fishing reels all my life.
Avets are generally used for fishing on the high seas high, like tuna and yellow, which are usually caught with live bait of Southern California and Baja. Most of the time you fish you'll be waiting for a bite, keeping your outfit with the coil freespooling, food, the line as the bait and swims the thumb of the holding coil of the line spinning too fast and backlashing. When a fish bites, it will take off faster, you save the reel in gear and set the hook. The clicker is used to keep the line out too easily if you put the rod down. If a fish chose this moment to bite, it will start to pull the line against the clicker, you take the rod and hook the fish. If the coil was disengaged, the line would spin too fast and the game (entanglement) and the fish pull the rod overboard (I've seen it happen), and if you left the reel in gear, the same thing happen faster (I've seen that too). If you're behind, you leave the reel in gear in the carrier or attached to the rail with game and drag on the clicker as an alarm. Avet JX but is a bit small for fishing offshore. It is also used in the same way if you the rod in a holder while fishing pier or surf, but I do not think you are using a Avet for it. Anyway, except that I hang very seldom use the clicker on any reel.
Avet Fishing Reels
Maybe it is going to be for a suitable livelihood, or for recreation, fly fishing has been a instrument pursuit of human existence for millennia. A major favorite of sportfishing that evolved for pleasure is saltwater fly fishing. It involves a special reel and casting motion that be like bugs skipping on the top of the water to excite the fish. Fly fishing rods & reels will make those actions possible.
In order to set off, it's good to identify just why & how freshwater fly fishing reels variate from conventional designs. A freshwater fly fishing reel doesn't keep the nylon line firm up to a brook trout is on the line. These sorts of reels release a load of slackness in the line that makes the freshwater fly fishing motion viable. Traditional reels are cast into the river and squat while saltwater fly fishing takes subtilty and repetitive mobility.
